Domain Name: www.

OpenSRS sends one's password immediately, but due to network conditions and mail server load it can take from a few minutes to a few hours for the email to arrive.

  • Enter your domain in the form domain.dom, and not www.domain.com or http://www.domain.com.

  • The OpenSRS username and password will be emailed to the administrative contact email address on the domain.  If you don't know what this address is, lookup your domain in the WHOIS database.

  • Once you have your domain username and password, you should be able to login to the domain toolkit or renew your domain online.

I have a .CA domain and need my CIRA account number and password.Enter your .CA domain here to have your CIRA account number and password emailed to the admin contact currently listed on the domain.

Note that it can take a few hours for CIRA to send out one's account information.

What if the administrative contact email address on my domain is old or no longer valid?  Then what?

In a case where you don't know your OpenSRS username and password or CIRA account number and password (if applicable) AND the admin contact email address on your domain is no longer valid, you must fax the registry directly to get it updated.

Click here to download the admin change form for your domain extension.  Complete the appropriate form and fax to the registry as directed with any requested supporting documentation.

Once the registry receives your request, they will update your registration with the new information. If the changes are for a .ca domain, monitor your email for an email from CIRA asking you to confirm the changes.  Once that is done, come back to this page to have your domain username and password emailed to you at the new address.

If for any reason the registry is unable to process your request, they will email you advising what corrections or omissions need to be made.
